Step 1 - Selecting the SDR file type

 

After clicking on "Validate New SDR" the trial validation process will start and the following screen will appear.

 

 

The actions that need to be taken are:

 

1) Decide which file type you are submitting.

 

2) Which return year your SDR is for.

 

3) Decide who is to receive the email notifications as the SDR proceeds through the Trial Validation process.

 

4) Click the "Next" button to continue or the "Previous" button to go back. 

 

1) FILE TYPE

 

You need to know which file type you are submitting this time (see Overview of the SDR) – in the example below, “SDR” is selected, meaning the Student, Course Enrolment and Course Register data files will be validated in trial.

 

Note: You will not be able to use the "SDR and COMP" option for the Dec 2004 return.

 

2) RETURN YEAR

 

Select from a drop down list the return year your SDR is for (i.e. April 2005 has the return year of 2005).

 

 

3) EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS

 

You can choose who from your organisatoin receives the email notifications of the SDR as it goes through the validation process. To do this you need to click the box for everyone who you want to receive email notifications.
