Forecast method 1 – setting growth

The bottom half of your Student Component (formerly EFTS) Funding forecast screen contains two ways in which you can update your forecast. Only use one of these methods to update your forecast.

Method 1 – Setting Growth:

If you foresee a Student Component Funding change in future periods, you can change the information stored by accessing “Set Growth” where you will either set a percentage figure of change or a Student Component Funding amount change.

The actions that need to be taken are:

1) Decide whether you will either set a percentage figure of change or a Student Component (formerly EFTS) Funding amount change.

If you use Student Component (formerly EFTS) funding you can proceed to (2).  If you want to use a percentage change, click on the "growth by percentage" button.

2) Click on the appropriate 2005 box and type in the amount of growth (positive or negative) your TEO is forecasting.

Note: If you are setting the growth by a percentage, then ensure the figure used is an appropriate percentage.  The same also applies for Student Component Funding Growth

3) Repeat (2) for all the outlying years (ie 2005-2008 in the example below).

Buttons:

The Reset button will return all the growth amounts back to zero.

The Calculate button will calculate the Total EFTS with forecast growth by year.

The Growth by % button will let you forecast by percentage change, rather than EFTS growth.
