How to apply for a username and password

Before you can access STEO secure sites or areas you must have successfully applied for a Single Internet Authentication (SIA) account, which provides you with a username and password. To do this you must:

1. Download the ‘SIA Setup Forms’ form from the STEO website downloads page.

2. Fill out the form and have the SIA contact at your organisation sign it.

3. Fax or send the form using the details on the form.

4. If everything is correctly filled out, and your organisation is approved for access, you will be assigned a login, and e-mailed the details.

5. Log in for the first time to check that it works correctly. You will be required to change your password immediately, and set a ‘Challenge Phrase’ in case you ever forget your password.

6. Confirm by e-mail that your access works.

If you already hold or have access to a digital certificate you will not need to apply for a username and password.
