Work between the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) and the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) has resulting in procedural streamlining for private training establishments (PTEs) and 'other tertiary education providers' (OTEPs) in relation to financial reporting.
PTEs and OTEPs no longer need to provide financial viability documentation to the TEC. Financial management and performance is addressed by NZQA through its registration and accreditation review process.
PTEs and OTEPs no longer need to notify the TEC of a change in financial year-end. They should now notify NZQA.
